Before working with Kevin, I imagined the college application would be horrible. All of my older friends complained about the applications and essays. But when I started working with Kevin, the entire application process was a breeze. I finished all of my applications before most of my friends even started. Working with him made the college application experience too easy to be true, and allowed me to get into my dream college. If you don’t want to stress about the college application process, then Kevin is your choice.
— Denys Osmak, UT Informatics '27 - Harlingen, TX
I had an amazing experience working with Kevin! As someone who has previously gone through the college application process alone, I can say that working with Kevin made a world of difference. He is extremely knowledgeable about the Texas application process and was always available to answer any questions I had. With Kevin’s guidance and expertise, I was able to successfully transfer to UT Austin - my dream school! He provided super helpful suggestions for my essays and resume and made the entire application process much less stressful than my previous experience. Kevin was always willing to help and would always respond in a timely manner. He made the waiting period between submitting my application and hearing about my decision much more bearable. I highly recommend Kevin to anyone applying to college - his knowledge, experience, and support are invaluable!

Thank you for helping our family with the college admission process. Having you assist with the essay edits saved our family hours of arguments. I knew our son could do it, but having outside input made the process so much smoother. He is OVER the moon excited as you would expect. We have a sophomore daughter so you will hear from us again in a year or so! Save her a spot. Thank you! Thank you!
— KJ, Parents of McCombs '25 & '27- Houston, TX
Kevin’s assistance with our son’s college admission was truly exceptional and much appreciated. There are many college counselors, but Kevin’s assistance stands out in many ways: He has a very positive, calm, and composed attitude that resonates well with students. More importantly, he takes the stress away from the student and the family. He spends time learning about the student and advises on the major and college list positioning. He is very thoughtful and super responsive. In case of trouble (especially in some unique situations we faced), he stood by our side with a few last-minute request Zoom calls and offers his expert guidance while remaining positive. If you wish to have a stress-free and successful application process to your favorite college, we highly recommend Kevin.”

Mr. Martin was extremely helpful throughout the stressful period of transfer applications and helped me get into all of my desired schools like USC and Illinois. I could not have done it without his constant engagement in editing my essays and helping me with my application overall. His kindness and patience were very welcoming, and I really felt like I thrived while working with him.
— Manas K, UT Economics Transfer '26 - California
Working with Kevin this past year was a great experience all around. His experience working in admissions at UT-Austin gives him knowledge about the UT admissions process that we would not have had access to otherwise. Not only did Kevin bring practical advice to our meetings, he has a gift for identifying a student’s unique strengths and translating those strengths to a college application. He is talented at communicating with and motivating high school students. We appreciated Kevin’s approach of empowering our son while keeping our anxiety in check. Our son gained admission to his first choice- the UT Austin Business Honors Program. Thank you Kevin! We give Kevin our highest recommendation.
— Shannon Prior, Parent of McCombs CBHP '26
These past eight months may have seemed to be the longest and most stressful of my life. Working with Kevin has been the light at the end of this dark tunnel. I have never received such personal and insightful help by any hired tutor or high school teacher compared to Kevin and his excellent mind. I truly fail to recall any instance of frustration regarding Kevin’s assistance and contact. I forget that he works with other students because I always feel like his number one priority. Kevin provided services I could never replicate, and I have learned so much beyond college admissions. We brainstormed on a lengthy call to approach my ideas and stories from totally unique perspectives. Kevin can transform personal experiences and work magic with them. In the end, I submitted essays combining aspects of my religious beliefs, family background, and photography business that I’m confident helped tip the scales in my favor, especially since I was a test-optional McCombs applicant ranked outside the top 6%. There is simply no other way to put it: Kevin wanted me to gain admission maybe more than myself. His enthusiasm never ceased. He went above and beyond any expectations I had. If there is any hesitation in moving forward with Kevin’s services, and if I had to do this (God forbid) a thousand more times, Kevin would be the only person I would go to!
— Nico Zinsmeyer, San Antonio, UT-Austin Class of 2025, McCombs
Kevin was essential in helping my daughter frame her essays around her application. He guided her on how to tell her story while weaving in life experiences with her extracurriculars and relevance to her major. She gained admission to all five schools: three safeties and two reach schools, including UT and UW. She was just outside the top 10% of her class and didn’t submit her test scores. My daughter really listened to Kevin’s advice and was able to get immediate feedback from him, regardless of his location. He took the time to understand who she is, helped her define her path, and celebrated her wins with her. We will always highly recommend Kevin and be grateful for his professional guidance. Hook ‘em!
— L.S. Parent Class of 2026, Moody
I wanted to thank you sincerely for all the help you provided me with during the long and tiring college application process. You helped take away so much of the stress and fear I felt toward and gave me a lot of great advice I will cherish as I move forward to the next part of my life.
— Neha V., Texas A&M Class of 2027
I’m a first-generation college student from a non-college-going community. I was a late bloomer that didn’t do well in high school and who began studying at community college because I didn’t know any other options. After working with Kevin, a few months later, I was accepted into two top ten universities for Computer Science. I didn’t have anyone to look up to, and I can’t stress enough how much Kevin changed my life and future. He also let me read an advance copy of and offer feedback for his upcoming book. You are putting yourself a disadvantage if you try to tackle the admissions process without Kevin, I promise you. His intense, yet understanding personality will push you to be the very best applicant that you can be. College admissions is a tricky, arduous process that pains almost every family worldwide. I had a selection of dream colleges to choose from, and I could not imagine how I would’ve done it without the Legend himself, Kevin Martin.
— Ryu Parish, Transfer, UW-Seattle CS Class of 2024
Kevin was so helpful and quick in responding, guiding us, and providing great input. My out-of-state daughter was accepted to UT Austin mechanical engineering, and Texas A&M honors college and honors engineering. We’re so happy we used his services!
— C.S., Parent of UT Engineering Class of 2027
Kevin helped me get admitted to 11 universities out of 15 I have applied to, including UT Austin, UCLA, UC San Diego, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, among others. I applied to Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or ECE. Kevin was very concerned about my prospects because I could not have an SAT test here, in Europe. Still, with my perfect GPA and Kevin’s help guiding me throughout creating a captivating essay, we have accomplished an outstanding result.
— Carlos Carvalho, Spain, Bucknell Class of 2025
Thank you for everything you have done to help with my applications, I was accepted to pretty much everything I wanted at basically everywhere I wanted. Writing is my weakest skill, so your work with my essays definitely had a major impact on the decisions, especially at the competitive schools I applied to.
— M. K. Carnegie Mellon CS '25
I never in my wildest dreams imagined that my daughter would get acceptances from UT, McCombs and Plan II!! I cannot thank you enough for encouraging Abby to fully express herself and for your wisdom and care in reviewing and polishing her work. I would not have been comfortable encouraging her to push the envelope like she did, and that expression of her creativity clearly made all the difference in her tremendous achievement! Abby’s life is on an amazing trajectory with limitless possibilities ahead of her. I can’t express how important your passion and guidance were to making her UT dreams a reality.
— Stuart Lodge, Frisco Parent of UT-Austin Class of 2024, Plan II Honors and McCombs
I was accepted as an external transfer into UT McCombs! I would highly recommend hiring Kevin Martin to help with College Admissions. He is very knowledgeable and it was extremely helpful to have professional feedback and guidance throughout the process. I especially appreciated the prompt responses and feedback!
— Aimee Jones, McCombs Transfer, Class of 2025
My son worked with Kevin on his application to UT Austin and other Texas universities. I worried some about hiring a private counselor because I’d read they don’t always provide a good value. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Kevin did everything he said he would do and more. He always responded promptly while working on the essays or just in answering general questions, and we had a lot of them. His insight into the entire application process was also invaluable and he resolved issues that we otherwise would have had a difficult time figuring out on our own. His approach and strategy to writing the essays and assembling a resume is spot on and really helped my son focus in on what would work best for him. I can’t imagine a better service, and I highly recommend Kevin to anyone considering using him.
— Guy Floyd, San Antonio Johnson HS Parent of UT-Austin McCombs Class of 2024
Rarely does an email go unanswered for more than 24 hours and never was his email reply a dry response. It always felt that it was from a ‘member of the family.’ The entire admission experience is very very stressful and it was amazing to have this type off support. He actually brought tears to my eyes with this helpful attitude. I appreciate his complete honesty. There is just so much mystery and confusion around the whole admission process. He was never selling himself but instead very upfront about how he can help. Most importantly, he was always there when we had a zillion questions. His help was absolutely critical to getting my son admitted to UT Engineering. He was my friend, guide, and philosopher…I am sure you will discover how much fun it is working with him.He is also very open about where he can and cannot help and does not make false promises. He dispels several UT admission process rumors that we hear. He is clearly a gold mine of information on UT Austin. He works so smoothly and directly with the student on his essays with a remarkably short turnaround time. I barely knew that my son was working on his essays - it was a quiet, fast and efficient process. Getting help from Kevin who has reviewed so many essays in his prior life was a great asset. He has a very holistic yet personalized approach. If I had to do what he is doing, I would have developed a dozen checklists, process outlines, forms, etc., but not Kevin. He treated our case as if that was the ONLY thing he was doing and completely tailored the approach for our specific needs. We look forward to our youngest son working together.
— Ram Bommakanti, Leander, Texas - Parent of Aerospace Class of 2023 and Computer Science Class of 2024
Best money I’ve ever spent. Not only did Kevin help me with my applications, but he also helped me improve my writing overall. You’re the first person to helped developed my writing beyond the boring STAAR level stuff. He’s extremely honest, helpful, and informative. I’m telling all my younger friends they need to use him when they apply to college. You’re seriously the best. I can’t recommend him enough.
— Audrey Courreges, Mt. Pleasant, UT Admit and SMU Scholarship Class of 2022
Senior year of high school, I applied to about 10 schools. I didn’t think in a million years I would ever get into a good school. Every single one rejected me. I felt depressed and unmotivated. I went to community college and found out about Kevin during my first semester. He pushed and motivated me to do my best in college to successfully transfer. We worked through many rounds of revisions for the two UT transfer essay revisions until they were perfect in my eyes. A year later, I was accepted to UT Austin Rhetoric and Writing with a 3.75 GPA. Without him, I wouldn’t have gotten into my dream school. I have my confidence and happiness back thanks to Kevin’s mentorship. Thank you for helping me make my childhood dream a reality!!
— Justin Jimenez, Richland College Fall 2020 Transfer to UT Liberal Arts
I am extremely grateful to you for all the help you provided very promptly to our daughter for all her essays as well as any other questions she bombarded you with. We loved your method of interaction and use of Google Docs comments to communicate back and forth. It was a very productive way of reviewing and commenting on the essays. We really never felt the need of phone calls or video chats much. Your email replies have always been so elaborate, honest, and satisfactory. I also ordered and read Kevin’s Forty Acres book from front to end in one sitting! It had a lot of interesting and real insights about behind the scenes admission decisions and process at UT Austin since Kevin was actually a UT counselor.
— S. J. - Parent of McCombs Class of 2024
My parents and I were very impressed with the level of help you provided. Even when I was having doubts about the content of my essays and short answer questions you provided great advice and insight. I truly appreciate your honesty and transparency throughout the whole process which was very stressful. I think having an outside opinion was very helpful to me during the entire process. I cannot thank you enough for all the support.
— Olivia Abercrombie, The Woodlands, UT Moody Class of 2022
Kevin, without you, my dream of attending UT would not have been possible. Your excellent knowledge and prompt communication really made this stressful journey much easier. There are no words to describe your impact on all facets of my application. I will recommend my younger brother to work with you. (His brother also gained admission).
— Tarun Gudipally, Austin, UT Class of 2022
I applied to UT my senior year and got denied. After a year of community college, I sought out help with my application the second time around. Tex Admissions ensured that I had the best application possible. In helping me with my essays one on one, editing, and adjusting my word choice, I knew that what I was trying to say came across perfectly. The amount of time he put into my personal application was substantial and I owe my success to the help of Kevin. I would recommend Kevin’s help to anyone considering it! With his help, I got into the school of my dreams and I can proudly say that I am now a Longhorn.
— Emma Durham, McKinney, Texas - University of Texas at Austin Class of 2020, Communications
Overall, I am very satisfied with how things turned out. I did not gain admission to my first choice of UT Austin, but I feel very confident I submitted my best application due to Kevin’s expertise and help. Kevin has been very consistent at responding to my frequent emails, including questions and concerns regarding the admission process. It’s been a very arduous transfer journey, and I’m glad he was able to join me. I would recommend his service to anyone who wants to submit their best application. Thank you for all of your help, guidance, and advise. You’ve been a huge relief in a rather stressful process.”
— Jake Stallings, Plano, Texas - TCU Class of 2021
I tried to get into UT three times before I met Kevin. After two years, finally, I successfully transferred into Computer Science. I am very glad that Kevin and I worked together because he helped me make my dream come true. I would recommend Kevin to anyone who wants to get into UT or any other competitive university. He is extremely helpful and knows what the admission department expects from applicants. He took the time to know me and showed a lot of interest in helping me. I couldn’t be happier!
— Ricardo Sanchez, Torreon, Mexico – University of Texas at Austin Class of 2018, Computer Science
Kevin did a fantastic job. Had it not been for his help, I don’t know if I would be in college right now. Even though I did all the necessary research about the college application process, it was helpful to have his professional feedback and guidance. He was more than a counselor. He was my friend and mentor whenever I felt stressed and anxious. Thank you, Kevin!
— Chau Phung, Fort Worth, Texas - University of Texas at Austin Class of 2021, Biology Scholars
Working with Kevin has been an amazing experience. Without his help, I am confident that I would not have been accepted early into the Computer Science program with a Presidential Achievement Scholarship at the University of Texas. He delivered a very personal and professional experience that made me feel like I was a priority. I highly recommend his services because he not only helped with my admission to UT but with my academic abilities overall.
— ALAN ORWICK, LEANDER, TEXAS - UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN CLASS OF 2020, COMPUTER SCIENCE MAJOR AND PRESIDENTIAL ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT
I first met Kevin the summer prior to my Senior year of high school when he was a camp counselor at UT’s Subiendo Academy. Being a first generation student, I didn’t entirely know if college was for me, but Kevin reassured me I could go because I had taken the SAT, I had done well in my classes, and I would enjoy the college experience. At that point, I was committed to apply. I got into each of the three schools that I applied to – Rice University, Harvard College, and the University of Texas at Austin. Kevin believed in me, and for a graduating high school senior looking to find out who he is in life, it was great looking up to someone who facilitates and supports your journey ahead.
